Call me cynical, but is anybody else sick of Oprah?

Question

Is she not the most self-important and puffed up TV personality? Her audience always glowing with exaggerated praise of her pretentious acts of generosity and middle-brow wisdom.
"God whispers..." PSHAW!!
"Pay it forward!" BLECHHH!
"Julia ROOOOB-EEEERTS!"

The way I see it, Oprah is GM, is Disney, is GE, is Macy's, is Billy Mays in an easy-to-swallow capsule; a billion-dollar spokesmodel on an infomercial that sells lifestyles.

Or am I just being cynical and blind to the greatness that is Oprah?

I started typing a huge long rant, but I decided to spare everybody... I mean, it never ended.

Short and sweet: I'm just very wary of anybody who constantly uses the word "we" with regards to an audience, because it's a keyword used for brainwashing people.

I'm not sick of Call of Duty. .... Oh, you mean the "Modern Warfare" series? Oh, yeah. See, I don't call that Call of Duty. I call that "Activision's Cash Cow." The Modern Warfare and Treyarch series are both fine in their own rights. Neither are terribly bad, but each one is just a $60 renovation plus a few things. I know people were sick with WW2 shooters for a while, but honestly, I want those back. You know, like the ORIGINAL Call of Duty. That was freaking amazing back in the day.

Oprah might be all the things u said but her good deeds over-rule her bad.
name one famous woman or man who's not self-important or puffed up.
Let's look at Madonna, isnt she just that? Many older celebs would do anything to remind the world of their existence. They wouldnt let any 1 older or younger shadow their existence or their importance.
She might be publicizing her generosity but she does play a big role in many less-fortunate people's lives. She has helped many and still does.
So if she helps the less blessed and acts all puffed up, she has the right to...at least not so many rich people do 1/2 of what she does with her money. so who r u or me to judge her? she brags coz she knows she can afford to do that...
knowing her history, she earned every thing she has including the "puffed up" attitude...so i respect her for that...

I thought I was the only Oprah hater. I am so relieved to discover it's not just me who can't stand the *itch and her better than thou attitude. I do however admire the fact that she is a woman, and is very wealthy, and has really done something not very many women do. But if I have to hear one more of her little quotes I'm slapping her.

Here's what makes me laugh. Each and every time I go to the grocery check out counter, and find her magazine-- guess who's mug is always on there? You guessed it! There's nothing more vain than someone who owns a magazine, and features themself as the cover girl in each and every issue.

Aside from that - yeah, anyone can argue that she's a philanthropist - but so is Bill Gates, and he doesn't have his own magazine.

I think she is a nice and kind lady, but yeah I am pretty over her shows, getting a bit boring lately. I agree with her "over the top" commentary as well - also, when she has a guest she seems to always get the focus put back on herself...

i used to like her but she became so complicated i know she is an expert but her issues became what to say mmm,not for anybody to watch i really prefere tyra or racheal ray they r simple,but she has a big experience and no one can deny it.
