i have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT.
i just took the two bolts off the EGR valve, pulled the vacuum hose off the top, and brought it into the house.
havent cleaned it yet, but ive heard many people say to "make sure i check the gasket before i put the EGR valve back on".

i dont see a gasket??

I'd say its more likely the last person that took it off forgot it. To find out for shure call the dealer or the factory techline with the VIN number. If you are not shure if that is the original engine get the numbers off the engine, there should be a model and serial number.

It MAY not need one.

If both surfaces are machined smooth, a gasket is not required.
