As a rough estimate, let's say every human has a mass of 100 kg and can jump 1 meter high. Both of those numbers are higher than the average person attains, but not by a whole lot. The energy expended by a person is then mgz = 100 kg x 10 m/s^2 x 1 m, approximately. So each person expends about a thousand joules with one good leap. If there are six billion people jumping, you get 6 trillion joules of energy.
I went to this website:
http://www.onlineconversion.com/energy.htm
to convert to tons of explosive, and it told me that the total energy would be 1,434 tons of explosive, so call it a kiloton. I believe that a 10-kiloton nuclear bomb is a very modest one by today's standards. If you explode a very modest bomb near the ground surface in the middle of Nevada, does it even shake the buildings in Las Vegas enough that anyone would notice? The jumping-humans scenario would only be one-tenth as energetic. If you are worried about some global catastrophe, you need not fear.

No the earth would certainly not shake. Hahaha. All that would happen really is that everyone on earth had finally been able to colaborate on one thing and achieved it for pretty much the first time in human history. There would likely be global peace, world happiness, and a great story to tell our grandchildren, but no violent shaking.
The reason is, that while everyone jumping at once would give off a very large ammount of energy, it soo spread out that it could never have any affect. If you could somehow have everyone jump and land on the same point at the same time, it might do some damage to the immediate area, but that's it.
Sorry, bet that's not half as cool as what you were thinking but it's true.

The Earth's climate will strengthen warmer. there'll be an significant impression on the plant and animal life that presently inhabits the Earth. most of the plant and animal species will flow extinct. there'll be an significant climate and geological changes because of the fact the temperatures proceed to upward push. yet THEN....the temperatures will start to drop. Ice caps will sort and will develop in length 3 hundred and sixty 5 days after 3 hundred and sixty 5 days till they conceal approximately seventy 5% of the Earth's floor. The lakes will freeze stable, oceans will recede. most of the plant and animal species will flow extinct. there'll be significant climate and geological changes because of the fact the temperatures proceed to fall. This technique has been ongoing for billions of years so please do no longer enable the "international Warming" crowd scare you.

We did this question before. The conclusion was that nothing would happen......The earth weighs like a million trillion times as much as all the people. Like using a pea shooter to try to move the Queen Mary.
It might be fun to see if you could get everybody to do it...
