What characteristics are you picking out as ones of a good person?
Usually an introduction starts out general and then gets more specific.
You could start with " Everyone has differing characteristics that makes them who they are. These characteristics could make them helpful, shy, or many other things"

If you're saying good, then it's natural to assume that there's bad. Being "good" implies there's an opposite or a contrast. Starting for me is usually done by making lists, but everyone has their own way of doing their assignments. There is no right way, there is just starting. Write random words down on a paper. Establish a main point. You know the drill. You might just make a list of questions.
Here's a short list of examples of being good versus bad:
Good: Honest, accepting, empathetic, hard-working
Bad: Dishonest biased, racist, disrespectful, insensitive, manipulative, opportunistic, lazy.
Now you continue this list and then use the words from it in your introduction. The bad list is easier, and I'd be willing to bet that there are a lot more words in the English language describing badness (giving you an idea?). I'd bet there are a lot more songs about being bad (Michael Jackson's Bad comes to mind) than being good (another idea?). Even the word bad, has another positive meaning (connotative) meaning entirely. You can say the word GOOD about someone and make it sound bad. (For example, "She was just so good, that everyone hated her.") (Is this inspiring any ideas?)
Here's another idea:
"I was at the store the other day, and a man in front of me gave back a dollar to the clerk. She had been so busy and distracted that she didn't realize that she had accidentally gave him too much. I wonder if everone would do that? I began to think about what it means to be a good person? I have a theory that everyone would say something different, so I decided to ask people what does it mean to be a good person. Here's what they said."
Then, you interview people and record, or write down what they say is a good person.
Also, if you have trouble writing introductions, then write the middle parts first. Sometimes you have to discover what you're thinking by putting it out there. Then put clothes on it and dress it up.

Someone has probably told you that if you can't say something good about a person, say nothing at all. You hear that advice a lot, probably because it's needed. People find it is far easier to say something bad. As a matter of fact, people are out of practice on just how to go about saying "something good about a person" that they often "say nothing at all." The purpose of this paper is identify the characteristics of a good person. In so doing, perhaps the cause of saying "something good about a person" may be advanced.

well how do your write a paper on a topic like this..is it based on your own opinion?..i was just wondering because i would answer this question..but its very hard because its a pretty general topic..a good person could be whatever you want it to be.. many people think differently..so would have different opinions...so if your writing about your own opinion it shouldn't be to hard to get going....so maybe you should write about what a good person means to you..because a good person could be a leader ,or a hero,or just a somebody of the street..they could have any characteristics or qualities you think a good person should have...hopefully this helps you out..I'm not the greatest advice giver =]]

what makes a person good? What facts are there to prove a person is good? There are actually many facts then can cause a person to be considerd good. If someone is responsible or carring can be considered good. Some belive a person that works hard and does not argue and complain over small things is good person. These traits are not the only ones that can be for a good person.

In these heady days of materialism, greed and envy, a good person stands out of the pack. Bucking the consensus of only thinking selfishly, a good person makes her mark by helping others. Helping those in need, those who depend on the kindness of strangers to make it through another challenging day.

we as a society are somewhat tolerant, yet to be socially acceptable we tend to follow and not be leaders. This way we are fitting in to the crowd. Good characteristics are shown through the way one carries themselves or performs in an average situation. they key is to have perseverance and not fall in to the I can't do it mold.
So, what are good characteristics in someone whom you have just met or recently met............
