Well, the WHOLE NFC sucks *** but if the 49's go 8-8 that would be considered a successful season for them.

I think the 49ers can win the division and their season is depend on the arms of Alex Smith, their starting QB. If Alex Smith get of to a good start and build some confident and Frank Gore have a great year like his rookies year, then the 49ers is a team to be reckon with down the stretch and have a chance to fight for the division with the Seahawks. I can see them finish with a 9-7 or 10-6 record, but it's all depend on Alex Smith.

In a week division of a week conference I would expect them to do fairly well - continuing to improve over the past couple of seasons. 8-8 sounds likely, with a 9-7 record possible.
I think they've done well in the draft and free agent signings. I think it looks decent for them. I hope Alex Smith has a 'breakout' year.

With all of their new additions to their defense and offense and how well the 49'ers are "Rollin' w/Nolan!" I think that they will get to the first or second round of the playoffs and they will get a little more respect around the league! I really like the niners and hope that Alex Smith becomes the leader I think that he is capable of being!

they r young, but have all the talent to go 10-6, and they will win the nfc west, because: seattle is too old, and brittle. the rams defence can't even stop the redskins. arizona is to young and r in a transition.
