i've been growing mine out, so i never want to get it cut, but WOW do my ends look horrible....

I had to have one recently as the gas stove attacked me.
It was long too, where I was sitting on it so I guess it was for the best, now its just below my shoulders

I grew mine out for 6 years, just to get the same length in the back and sides. Last week my daughter told me my hair was very unhealthy and I needed to get it cut. She does hair so she CUT it. I had the same style for 30 years and after she was done I did not even recognize the woman in the mirror. It was a hugh difference and I actually liked it. It will grow again if I choose to. Most people think that getting a hair cut will make their hair grow. It is not the hair cut that makes your hair grow it is getting the dry split ends cut so they don't break off. Your hair grows from the scalp, but getting the ends cut will make it look better and when it grows it will stay with you and not break off. I am not saying you should get a drastic change but do cut those ends off and use a good conditioner everyother day to keep them hydrated and healthy.

I've been growing mine out too and need a haircut badly. So many layers and split ends. I guess I'm scared of how many inches they'll want to take off!

Yes! I'm growing mine out too, PLUS I haven't had the money to even go get it trimmed up a little bit.
Luckily I don't blow it dry so the ends are ok, but it has been so long now that they are starting to get skanky.
Hopefully I'll have enough money this month to get it cut!

My hair is over 1/2 way down my back. I have to get the ends trimmed 2x per month. Otherwise it breaks off & looks like it's not growing at all.

I got my ends trimmed just a few days ago. It was great. I've been growing my hair too but I was happy to get rid of the split ends.

I would just get your ends trimmed but you can still be growing your hair out but then when you get split ends just get your ends cut off
