I made 3 different types of soap, each with a different essential oil, and I want to test which one will last the longest and shortest.

Generally the softer the soap-the less 'durable' it will be. Do you know the properties of the oils you used? Did you use the same exact recipe for each batch? The scent should not make a difference. Generally any oil high in lauric acid will make a harder, long lasting bar. Also the age of the soap and how long it has "cured" and the method of soaping will all contribute to the lasting of the bar.

Durability in what sense? You could test for shear strength witht the correct equipment. You didn't say anything about what the apparatus in your science lab is or does.

In the lab? OK. Get every one in the lab line up at the sink and wash their hands (over and over if necessary) until bar one is gone. Count how many hands were washed. Repeat with bars 2 and 3. Walla. You have just completed a scientific experiment.
