Hi there
This really depends on the bloke and what he has been use to in the past. I think times are changing too. I cant honestly say that i know many women in their twenties that would carry their man. I do all my own house work, cooking washing, ironing the works. Plus i have 3 toilets to clean on a regular basis. And no I'm not gay before anyone asks. I think everyone needs to be independent because if they aren't then at some strange in their life they will be in for a nasty shock!
Just rember if someone is prepared to let you do all the work whilst they sit on their backside all day do they really respect you? Or worst do they really care about your feelings?
So to answer your question. It depends on the man and how much you are prepared to let them get away with. If i were you i would start using the broom stick for more than just cleaning the floor! ;-)
Best wishes

Most men sloppy? No more than sloppy women. Slop is a learned behavior and can be changed. Everyone has different levels of tidiness and a compromise is usually in order. If you a neat freak and he's a pig that's tough to deal with.
Is he really sloppy or do you demand windows washed monthly? People who leave food out, clothes all over the floor dirty dishes all over is unexceptable even if you don't work and he works all day.

Look, I am the same way, the key to that is to stop cleaning up after him and let the house get so sloppy he has no choice but to pick up after himself.

Most men, yes. My husband leaves stuff in every room, but I don't nag him, I simply pick up after him. I love a clean house so it's important to me to do anything to make sure it remains clean and I don't mind.
My uncle, on the other hand, was in the service when he was in his early twenties and to this day keeps his home absolutely spotless. So it depends on the guy!!

I own my own house and live in it single. I have had females over who drove me nuts cause they lived like pigs. I love to have a clean home. lazy women are just as messy.

its hard to change after you mother has been helpful all your life. so all of a sudden we have to do all this stuff. it tough on us to make that transition.
try to set some simple rules.
but expect that he is going to take of his clothes and leave them where they fall.
tell him you would like his cooperation. let him know you will cooperate also.
don't be mean a naggy, it likely won't work.
keep reminding him nicely until you have him trained.
train him by giving rewards. just like you train a pet.
god help you if he is really lazy.
good luck.

wrong one to ask. i hate not having help around the house.. and no not all men are messy... and yes... he should do his part without you having to nag,. and if he does not then he has to put up with the nagging. sometimes you feel like you have to write little notes... like they are little kids. " put down the toilet seat'. ''pickup your clothes' BLAH BLAH BLAH..lol

Mine is messy when he cooks. I am careful NOT to criticise though because I love him to cook for me. Remember you live in a HOME - not a house..
