A definite strength if it is done in the right way, however when scientists bring in new proposals like, 'Dark energy,' to counteract ,'Dark Matter,' which is not slowing down the expansion of the universe, it makes me wonder if either of the two is valid. When they proposed the existence of an 'Aether.' to explain why light waved and experiments proved them wrong, the results of those experiments got Einstein to thinking about time dilation, we all know where that led. And others discovered that light could act as particles as well as waves. Changes are definitely good,

Change is science is brought about by new knowledge. Being able to change you mind because you have more evidence is a good thing and a true strength of the scientific processs.
