you definitely need the electrolyte replacement products, like Pedialite, etc. (ask at your pharmacy)
plus the chicken soup and lots of TLC
you don't mention when Grandma passed: but be very watchful for signs of depression
get some other relatives involved if there are any, or contact a county health nurse if you have that in your area (a hospital would probably know)
if he has a religious affiliation let the minister or priest know because a lot of congregations have helping programs for sick people and can help a lot
if no religious group just call a friend or neighbor or whoever they used to hang out with, because a lot of men have absolutely NO skills for reaching out for help when needed, it's one of the things that their spouse always did, even somehting as simple as setting up a social engagement is very awkward for single men after their spouse is gone, plus if they feel angry and depressed then they lose their motivation to get together with anyone
last note: YOU probably need your own support system as well, so think about what you need to keep you going too & call someone to help you take abreak and just talk things over

Make sure he warm and comfortable. Ensure that he drinks plenty of fluids so he keeps hydrated. Perhaps some soup would be nice. To be honest, when I am poorly I eat whatever I feel like - quite often we go off our food when we are ill so a bit of something you fancy is better than nothing at all. The important thing is fluids. He could take some paracetamol - no more than 2 every four hours.

If he is not throwing up....chicken noodle soup, tea, all clear liquids. If his stomach is upset, SMALL sips of ginger ale or Sprite, at room temp. The most important thing is to make sure he doesn't become dehydrated.

Night Nurse and Day nurse are the best thing on the market, dont give him anything with paracetamol on top of these though or he will be getting too much.
Just stick with those, they are marvellous./

Make sure you top up on his vitamin c, and give him plenty of fluids, and make sure he's comfortable.... and do you know it may seem like an old wives tale, but chicken soup always seems to help why? i don't know, but it does, and just plain old loving care.
P.S Eucalyptus rubs are good too.

Chicken soup, or if he doesn't feel like food you can buy Complan in the chemists, he's lucky he has such a caring person looking after him.
