Most cancer deaths are blamed on late diagnosis. The wait time in Britain is actaully less than in the U.S. The treatments are similar and similarly effective. I don't know what "comprehensive analysis" you are reading, but it sounds a bit skewed. Do a bit more study. The NHS spends three times as much on health care as whom?

All of western Europe has National health care. It's certainly better than not being able to get it at all or becoming impoverished.
