Don't you think the US gov. has more to do than wasting time on cigarrettes & alledged 2nd hand smoke?

Is this another ruse to take our minds off of important things like war, gas prices, the subhuman treatment of other human beings. I know this came up before Carl Roves resignation but who do you think come up with this crap to take our minds off of thr real world. Now he will get off scott free for starting that war & trying to Americanize the middle east & Little bushie is left holding the bag or his hand in the cookie jar & will take the rap for all of it as well he should for listening to the rats that are abandoning this sinking ship.

Hundreds of billions of dollars of tax money each year is raised by cigarettes. In NYC alone there is $5.00 of taxes on a single pack of cigarettes. Who in the hell is going to pay for all of that wasteful government spending? Who? Cigarette smokers and lottery players.

they shur do, but they also cant ignore the fact that people are dying by the thousands everyday from a product that kills those who don't even smoke. they should just make it illegal to smoke and get it over with so they can focus on some real issues. who really wants to pick up an expensive habit when they know one day that they might die from it anyways.you are better off buying lotto tickets with that money. its not a ruse, rather than a real problem.

Sounds like you might be a smoker and could care less about the thousands that die each year from smoking 2nd hand or not.What about adds against drugs,drinking and driving,teen pregnancy,seat belts,aids and every other kind of disease know en to man; are you opposed to them to? Stick your head in the sand, don't learn about smoking dangers, its your heart and lungs. But PLEASE keep it away from us that that don't want to be exposed to your stinking habit. P.S. I smoked for 30 years until I got smart, here's hoping all smokers will wise up before its to late.

I have NO Problem with anyone wanting to Ruin there Lungs by Smoking. I do however Mind if they try to ruin mine while destroying there own. I hope they Ban smoking everywhere and end this so we have no more debate about it.

I don't think they are wasting their time by banning this putrid abomination as much as possible. Trust me, God does not approve of this vile habit. Have you not heard of Christ speaking of "defiling the temple of the body?" If you are not Christian, this will mean nothing to you. But if you have faith, you will understand.

As far aas Bush goes, I would blame him for many evil and terrible things, but this is not one of them. He had nothing to do with legislation, as the tobacco companies have him in their pockets.
