,Hey, let them do it, the election process will not fold.
I agree with you that their own would be angry, also, this could have specific impact on the electoral college vote.
Gore was the one who got the mess started in FL with his challenges and the dismissal of the overseas military absentee ballots.
FL will work it out, let the Dem's hang themselves.

FL has just as much right to elect people as the other 49 states. If they are smart enough to vote away from foolish incompetent democrats like dean, gore, clinton and edwards, then more power to them for it.
also, if you are worried that FL wont influence a PRIMARY election, then I think you have your priorities all screwed up. The general elections are what get candidates elected.

This is B.S. The DNC has let plenty of other states move their primaries to earlier dates. Illinois moved its primary forward by nearly two months, and the Chicago machine blatantly stated that they were doing it to help Obama (their paid-for-whore). So if other states can move their primaries up, even for blatantly partisan political reasons as Illinois did, without being hassled by the DNC, I think Florida ought to be granted the same consideration. What we REALLY need to do in order to stop all this "fast forward" stuff is to hold one national primary where all states vote on the same day, just like we do in the general election. Every other country on the face of the earth does it that way. Then you won't have all this non-stop campaigning going on and nobody will have the advantage of voting early.

Florida is a very republican state and the last election was no different. I guess the democrats feel that if you ignore it, it will not be there. Sort of like a cat, if it doesn't look at you, you are not really there.

Florida has the right to schedule their primaries when ever they choose! The dnc and mr. Dean should accept that.

No, I think Florida is kind of pretty around primary time, with all those hanging chads.

Yes! I would favor cutting Florida out of the United States. This quandary only highlights the urgent need for the federal government to decide when states can hold their primaries. If they keep at it, they'll all be fighting to have their primaries tomorrow...

I think if you exclude any american or state from the election then it is not a real election now is it - can you imagine if after this precedent somehow north carolina or south carolina is excluded - also if a state is excluded are they still a part of the united states being they were unable to represent themselves in the elections - sounds pretty unconstitutional to me
