No, I don't think it's the education level of the candidates that's the issue that needs attention.
It's the uneducated, generally clueless, idiots that vote for them that's my pet peeve re: elections.
I don't think McCain / Fiengold even approaches the level of election reform we need. How about banning all broadcast media election Ad's?
People would actually have to read some print media to learn about their candidates, and the days of the "sound bite / bumper sticker" campaign would end.

If education were were a prerequisite, Bill Clinton would have been President for life !

yes, that way every one has the freedom to vote no matter the amount of education they have.

And actually the founders believed that not everyone was qualified by having the electoral college. The electoral college delegates would vote on how they thought was right and they are supposed to be a higher educated class than the rest of the people. But now, they vote the exact way the people vote

President bush said he would and he did. Watch any program on PBS for children at the end it will state who paid for it us the people. Was the money managed well enough at the TV station PBS nope. And they still ask me for a donation forget it.

It is not education, it is knowledge of the facts. Most are not aware of who stands for what. APATHY!
