No it is not on your birth certificate - since you moved out of the US at the age of 5, I hope it was with your family or at least part of your family. One does not get a social security number until ones parents apply for it through the social security administration. Since you had to ask the question I would gather you have not seen your birth certificate....find out who has this important document, put it in a "safe" place, for you will need access to it later in life. Good Luck!!! You sound like an intelligent person - if you can not or do not have access to the birth certificate - you can always ask for a certified copy from the hospital you were born.

No it isn't. Today people have to apply for a social security number after they are born. My grand children had to have one. When I was coming up a person didn't need a social security number until they got a job. So no it wouldn't be on the birth certificate

You may not have a Social Security number. Your parents would have had to apply for you and if they did not, then you would have never been assigned one. If you are an American Citizen then simply apply for one with the Social Security Administration. They will require proof of your citizenship for which a birth cirtificate should suffice.

No, it is not. A Social Security number needs to be applied for. If you have proof of American citizenship, go to the local American consulate or embassy to ask for assistance in applying for a Social Security card.

Your Social Security Number is not issued upon birth, it is issued when you apply for the number. Nowadays, the SSN of minor children who are claimed as dependants on their parents federal income tax return must be listed on the income tax return.
It is possible that your parents never secured a SSN for you. If that is true, you must apply for your own number.

No, it is never on the birth certificate. The Social Security card is issed by the U.S. govt. and a birth certificate is issued by the city or state.

You don't have a SSN at the time of birth, and it's possible that you never had one issued in your name. You'll have to find another way to facilitate whatever scheme you have in mind.
