I've got a pay as you go Virgin network sim card in my mobile. How would I be able to tell if it offers a roaming facility abroad?

Ring them up on 789. This checks your Sim cash balance and then gives you the chance talk to Customer Service. I think that you have to ask them to activate the roaming facility.
If you still have the instructions that came with the phone check it out for info.
If you think that you may want to make a lot of overseas calls ,search online and buy a cheaper Sim that you can use in the country you are visiting. Remember that texts are usually cheaper .

depends on wot handset you have but like the rest say contact c.s and ask.

call customer support and they have a matrix that can determine if you can use it or not.
pre pay probably not.
but call I could be wrong.
