I checked dell and its Pc's are the worst cuz you have like 2 pci slots open and i cant go for the 1394, lan card, and 15-in-1 all together. Theyre overpriced too, even with the 350 off coupon. this hp is with a 400 off coupon. And i know about that $630 w/ 19 in monitor deal you were talking about... it came with a 64 mb video card. anyway im just hoping i dont find a better deal in-store on labor day lol.

depends on what you are wanting to do with it. The graphics card is low end, and will not allow new games to be played on high graphics, but if you dont care about that then it is a decent deal. Add tax and monitor and its about 800$, you should compare it with dell and see if its better.

Remember a couple of things
Cheaper is not always a deal in computers.
I would rather have NO TROUBLE then get a hydro Blaster that you fought with everyday.
Next I try to stay with top of the line equipment and deal direct rather than go to wally world and buy a piece of junk.
You will find you can get anything you want and they use top of the line components. You don;t have to worry about them using 3rd rate internal devices.

ok.. the graphics card is probably onboard.. so although the memory says 2gb ,in reality maybe 256 mb of that will be taken for the graphics card.

the machine i bought , i updated the graphics card as it wasn't ideal for 3d games
as for prices , not 100% sure as i'm not in the US..

seems ok though.

have you a site like pricerunner or deal time you can check prices?

you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

You really need to shop around a bit more, and get one with just XP. Check out Dell deals.

If you go to HP's site you will see that they start out at $849 with an instant savings of $100... configured exactly as you have it, it is over $1000
