Ring up the police, their response is they are 20-30min away.
ring them back and tell them you just shot the burglar,
Now they will send every man on the police force and helicopters to your house in 3 minutes.
When they ask you why you rang and said you shot the burglars you say "I thought you said you were 20-30 minutes away?!?!?"

Get out your loaded gun and shoot them dead. That is if you are in the State of Missouri. My cousin lives there and she said there is a new law where if there is a burglar in your house you can kill him or her. That should put a damper on home invasion. (at least in Missouri)

Since I did not own a gun at the time and the bullmastiff was in the back yard, I pulled out my Marine Corps sabre. The wife is an excellent shot with a 9mm now.

I have a 45. under my bed with a (safety lock) shoot then call 911 hopefully not killing him
