And is dell inspiron 531 a good pc to get. Do they provide both vga and dvi ports with integrated graphics card? They should because most people prefer to add a dedicated graphics in future as currently dell sell it for too much price and it only gets to basic gaming needs even with the dedicated graphics card which is a shame because you are paying them £94 for nothing.

thanks.

no,most intergrated graphics come with a single v.g.a port and thats it,this is due to the limits of space on a motherboard, however by purchasing a inexpensive dedicated graphics card you can get a dvi port for around £30
the Asus GeForce EN7300GS-HTD 256MB DDR2 from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-093-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=257,is a inexpensive pci-express card with a v.g.a / d.v.i and tv-out sockets
and with some excellent specifications such as 256mb of ddr2 video memory and a core clock of 400mhz,this is a good all round card capable of everyday tasks and even some modern games
another good card if you prefer a.t.i based cards is the HIS ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO 1024MB DDR2 from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-080-HT&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=939,this is probally the best card you are going to get for £30,and with 1gb of video memory this is a masterstroke
other specs for this card are............................
Powered by ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO GPU - 525MHz
- 256MB-64bit DDR2 memory - 800MHz (Supports upto 1GB Memory)
- 180 million transistors using 65nm fabrication process
- Unified Video Decoder (UVD) for Blu-ray™ and HD DVD
- Built-in HDMI with HDCP and 5.1 surround audio
- Comprehensive DirectX® 10 support
- PCI Express® x16 lane native support
any of these cards will do but i would go for the second as it supports direct x 10 and pixel and shader model 4.0 giving you a chance to play the latest games in style
any problem let me know
good luck mate!

The onboard graphics n the Dell Inspirion 531 does not come with both DVI and VGA ports. To get the DVI port that you seem to want, you'll have to purchase an add-in PCI-e video card. Look at the Tech Specs (click the tab and scroll down the page) on the following page for a full description.
