No, but Mars and the Moon will be somewhat close, maybe a few degrees away from each other. There will also be a lunar Eclipse starting in the evening of the 27th in Asia and the morning of the 28th in America ending at or before sunrise.
Mars however, will only be a bright starlike object of red color and hard to see in the glare of the moon until the eclipse is well under way.

There will NOT be 2 Moons in on August 27, or any other time. That false story dates to 2003, when Mars did come closer to Earth than any time in the last 50,000 years. But even then it just looked like a bright star. It never gets close enough to look like the Moon. This year it will not get nearly as close as it did in 2003, and it will be close in winter, not in August.

NO, will not happen. What you are referring to is the now annual late August hoax about Mars appearing as large as the Moon. This was started in 2003 and has repeated every year since. Mars can NEVER appear as large as the Moon from Earth because Mars never gets close enough. At its closest, Mars still appears as a rather bright looking reddish star, which is what it looked like when it was nearly at it's shortest possible distance in late August of 2003.

Just go out after midnight, any night, and look east. The "second moon" is right there. It is mars and its 176 million km away. That little red dot is as bright as it will get. Sorry. You´ve been punk´d.
