Hiya. Public relation refers interaction between a corporation/organisation and the public at large.
A person who works in public relations usually serves two purposes:
A.) To present a certain image of the company/organisation through issuing press releases to the media.
B.) Acting as a middle man between the company/organisation and the media.
A public relation specialist is an expert on knowing what to say to journalists who call looking for information.
Hope this helps.
