So pajaroespin e, trying to raise a little dander this morning? What you should do is read a just a small amount of history. Many ethnic groups have attempted to conquer the world, and more significantly, hold it. Persia, China, Greece, Romans, to name just a few. Anglo Saxons (and the Celtic peoples) have had few such attempts.
Don't confuse cultural influence with any real attempt to conquer the world. Cultures with failing ethical philosophies (generally those that try to control people) are strongly influenced by those with succeeding ethical philosophies (generally those that support individual freedoms).

For the purpose of this question only as I disagree with your basic tenet, can't a similar case be made for those that pursue a forceful overthrow of a government using religion as an excuse? At this point in history that applies to those who have distorted Islam for their political ends. Those certainly aren't Anglos.
Is everything that we Anglos have done good? Nope, we've made many mistakes, but the beauty of it is the freedom that is provided by those same Anglos allows a public criticism and examination, like for instance this forum.

I don't know about anglo xason people, but I'm Anglo-Saxon and Celtic and I don't really feel like conquering the world right now--too much trouble. You can have it if you want.

This angle-Saxon person wants to live in peace.,Wear what I want to wear, not told to wear by a religious group. Worship my Lord as I believe ,not by a state run religious leader.
Go out on my own, shop or to a restaurant and not be escorted by a male as some females have to do under a state run religious authority. I want to watch, listen and read what suits my fancy, not be told by again a state run religious authority. Hamper MY freedoms and I will defend them. BUT you can run the rest of the world

I think all groups, deep down, want to conquer the world. I just don't understand why. Who would want that kind of responsibility?
