In my county, if you are called to jury duty and do not give the court administrator a good excuse for not showing up, the judge will issue a bench warrant for your arrest and hold you in contempt of court for not showing up for jury duty.

I know of some lawyers, policemen, and health care professionals who have been called for jury duty.

If you are personal friends with a defendant or are a convicted felon, that is often sufficient to be excused from jury duty.

The only ways to get out of it prior to the day you are subpoenaed to show up is to have a medical excuse, if you are a student or a felon to another hardship such as caring for a sick relative.
If you get picked as a possible juror, the "racist" excuse won't fly. The judge has heard that one a million times.
I guess you could take your chances and just not show up when you are called. In my area, they would issue a warrant for your arrest for not showing up. My county also uses voter registration as well as DMV licenses to pull for jurors.
I was called for jury duty last month,my first time ever and I'm 48. It really wasn't that bad. Being asked to show up doesn't mean you will be picked or that there will even be a case that day. It was boring sitting there waiting all day,but my obligation is now done and I can't be called for another three years. And...I made a whole $9.00 for my time.

When you register to vote choose independent or not affiliated instead of identifying with an established party. You will never be called for duty. You can also just ignore a summons for jury duty, and if it's a problem later you can say "I forgot." No one has ever been prosecuted for failing to appear for jury duty.
The master white race statement would make you a good candidate for a jury in some parts of the country......

You can always get called if the address on your license matches where you live. Hint.

This probably does not work with little cases but I was called for a serious one. Having been military all my life (plus even grew up as a miltary brat) I was dropped because I would be too likely to side with the police. My understanding is that if you are related to military, law enforcement or express serious pro law law enforcement views you can get disqualified as well.

But odds of getting called up are slim and not often. Most cases are small things that take a day. So instead of going through all of the trouble it would probably just be better to spend the day at it.

It's your duty as long as you live in the United States. If you don't like it go move to Cuba or some other country.

As a rule, when you are interviewed by the lawyers before
the trial [voir dire ], your attitude will get you dumped from
any trial...

As for not needing to show up at all : no help.
