i agree with troop withdrawl, its trespassing to be there.

Global warming needs to be dealt with regardless of whether its nature or humans to blame, even though the scientific consensus is that its primarily humans.

men don't have a right to put up borders in the first place because the earth doesn't belong to them. The immigration requirements should be minimal. Also we are all descendants of immigrants, just because we happened to be born here its not like we made a conscious decision to be.

Guns are imperative to a free society. The government is manipulating peoples fears and emotions to disarm the nation. The 2nd amendment exists largely to protect against tyranny which is why the gov't hates it. Statistically crime always rises where guns are prohibited. Just the very thought that maybe the would-be victim could be armed is a deterrent to the criminal. If guns are banned than with each murder, rape, or robery where one was unable to defend oneself america as a whole will have to share the blame and will have taken part in commission of the crime.

Abortion should be left up to the individual whether its right or wrong is irrelevant it is there body. Otherwise society is guilty of inflicting their laws on anothers body.

minimum wage needs to be regional

Civil unions for everyone period, the government should not be involved in marriage. if people want marriage let them go to a church but it shouldn't have legal status.

All opposition to stem cell research is entirely religious and has no realistic basis.

Federal income tax is illegal and should be abolished, and it should be allowed that people choose which services their taxes fund.

If Americans want all these things, why do they keep electing Republicans ? Especially on the tax issue: everytime a Republican gets into office the national debt skyrockets.

To answer your question:
Troops in Iraq - I favor a reduction to the number of troops in Iraq (hell pull them all out toots sweet).
Global Warming - I agree that humans are the cause of global warming.
Immigration - I agree with tough regulations against businesses and I am against amnesty.
Abortion - I am pro-choice.
Guns - I want want gun laws to be more strict.
Health Care - I agree with universal health care.
Minimum Wage - I disagree with an increase to the minimum wage (only subsidized education can help poverty, increasing the MW will just cause inflation and put the poor back in the same boat).
Civil Unions - I am a bit ambivalent on equal rights to gay marriages, I think this requires a lot more discussion.
Stem Cell Research - I favor stem cell research.
Taxes - Lower taxes, but for who and at what cost? A simple question like "do you want lower taxes" is not particularly meaningful.

I don't agree with your statements, which follow your question. Left wing liberal loonies and the mainstream media call for troop reductions, but that does not translate into a "majority."
Americans are not split on legal immigration.
Americans are not pro-choice. The vast majority are pro-life. The abortions issue is fought in the US on a daily basis.
As for guns, I think I might believe it if the ratio were the other way.
Socialized medicine is a polarizing issue. I would not trust statistics from anyone.
As for minimum wage, your choice of words, "overwhelmingly" is troubling. To get an honest evaluation, I would want to do my own polling.
Most Americans are opposed to gay marriage; that does not mean American are against "equal rights"
All Americans are in favor of stem cell research. Many Americans are against federal government funding of embryonic stem cell research.
Everyone wants lower taxes.

Your statements seem to have a liberal bias.

Global Warming - I think humans have played a minor role
Immigration - No amnesty, it insults people who come to this country legally
Abortion - Pro-Life, when and where do we draw line on what's human?

Minimum Wage - For an incease to keep up with cost of living

i want out of iraq.
global warming is cyclical
i support legal immigration. angry about illegal immigration.
abortion should be decided at state level. present law is unconstitutional. what works in new york doesn't work in mississippi. vice versa.
guns should be legal. even fully auto. the second ammendment is there so that the people can defend themselves against tyrannical government and self protection. if others, including government, have access to fully automatic weapons, then it shouldn't be illegal for the people to have access. i believe the founding fouthers would have agreed and included fully automatic weapons if they were available in their time.
health care i believe the government should stay out of health care. i feel the same about education. the government drive the prices of these important services up by paying for them. look at the public health care systems in canada, england and elsewhere. private education and private health care is the be cost effecient way to go. name one system that the government is this heavily involved in where the services match private services quality. if you can do this, compare costs between private and public/government systems.
minimum wage wouldn't be as big of a problem if we abolished the federal reserve and go to the gold standard. prices on goods would start falling as the dollar got stronger. if anything. wages would start dropping across the board but prices of goods would be dropping much faster, so this is a positive for the economy. and the poor would benefit the most in time from going to the gold standard.
civil unions- again state by state issue. in the constitution, it plainly states that congress shall pass no laws. period. now i do believe the federal gov't has the right to pass laws such as counterfeiting money, treason and i feel lobbying should be federally banned. the only thing suppose to be affecting legislation are the people. never corporations.
stem cell research-if you can do research without creating life for the sole purpose of destroying it, i am for.
taxes-16th amendment was designed to tax corporations that dealt with international trading. all INCOME from overseas should be taxed. it wasn't designed to tax labor.

I guess this would be for "Hawkguy" and his extra $7500 a year comment. Here is how it breaks out. The $250,000 is taxed at 35 percent now. That is $87,500 a year. Add the additional 3 percent of $7,500 brings it to $95,000, in my state you can add another 9 percent state tax and another 2 percent local, that is another $27,500 bringing the total to $122,500 that leaves $127,500 out of the $250,000 and this is not counting the S.S. taxes and other little annoyances the Government has thought up. So when should the business get to keep some of what they worked and took a risk for. You are talking nearly a 50 percent tax rate and in my state there is an inventory tax and a floor tax for the amount of square feet you own or lease. Obama has capped the America Dream at much less than $250,000. This from Thomas Jefferson's 1801 Inaugural Address Still one thing more, fellow-citizens—a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.

All of your "facts" are incorrect.
Troops in Iraq - All Americans want our troops home as soon as possible, but most want to leave behind a secure country, free from indiscriminate bombings.
Global Warming - anyone with an elementary school education can tell you the Sun heats the Earth. In the summer, the Earth is hotter, caused by a variation in the Earth's axis. In the winter it is cooler (caused by the axis tilting away from the sun) ,even at times when we are closest to the sun. Perihelion (closest to the Sun) occurs in January , Aphelion occurs in July (farthest away from the Sun). This has been pretty constant, except when people noted that New York harbor froze over in 1780. No cars to blame then.
100% of Americans are against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
No American wants to welcome anyone here ILLEGALLY. LEGALY, yes! We welcome all those who respect our laws and have legally made their way to our borders, or have legitimate reason for asylum.
Americans are pro "choice"? No. We are Pro Life, but willing to let each state vote on the issue.
Guns - where do you get these numbers? It has been proven that more guns in the hands of citizens reduces crime.
Health Care - It may be true that Americans want universal health care 2:1, but it would mean waiting months to se a doctor for a brain tumor. In Canada, a man made an appointment for his dog to have a cat scan for a brain tumor, then went hisself, because he was told it would be 3 months for him to have the test.

I agree with those who want a US troop withdrawal from Iraq and other places outside the US. I am in favor of easier immigration to the US, and easier opportunities of owning guns. I don't see how abortions in wealthy families-when the pregnant woman wasn't raped and her life is not in any danger-can be justified.

Even if it were true, nations, like China will not take responsibility for their pollution.

People need to educate themselves, not be sheep and follow polls.
