Not completely full, but I got it full enough that it was so heavy that I could barely carry it, and then the bottom of the bottle broke and dumped a couple of hundred dollars of pennies all over my feet.

By the way, a roll of pennies weighs about 4.5 oz. So $1 in pennies weighs 9oz, and $100 weigh about 56lbs.

Also a roll of pennies occupies about 2 cubic inches. There ar 231 cubic inches in a gallon. So a 5 gallon water cooler bottle (1155 cubic inches) can hold 577 rolls of pennies ($288.50) which will weigh about 162 lbs.

Hope you and the bottle can handle that....:)

I had the same problem as billy bob joe... Only it wasn't just pennies...It was silver mixed with pennies, but I lifted it up one day to move it and the bottom just flat broke off the bottle....However now days to cash in coins it isn't so hard to do..Publix grocery stores, and Winn Dixie grocery stores, as well as many merchants now have machines within to take your coins and cash them in for dollars..You simply go thru the screen to turn them on, dump your coins in and it counts them and gives you a printed out ticket to take to the service desk and they give you paper money in the amount shown onm the ticket..This service does deduct so much cents per dollar automaticaly..below is a link to these machines and thier locations..as well as a calculator to estimate how many dollars you have per container within..I believe it has a drop down menu that goes to 1 gallon....here is the link
