What power train do you have? Motor homes are built on chassis made by the major manufacturers (Ford, GM, Chrysler). Without knowing what engine and transmission are in the vehicle, no one can answer this question!

You should be able to buy a new dipstick, even for a vehicle that old! Check with junkyards or the dealer!

Good luck!

Hello - Do not believe there is a need to check transmission fluid levels since transmission fluid is only used in cars with automatic transmissions. Find a user manual and/or call a Chevrolet dealer.

im presuming its a borg warner box, well you NEED a new dipstick.

flat and level, start vehicle and run it thru the shift pattern

PRDN123- 321NDRP and back to drive... then dip the transmission level. (and dont forget to put the parking brake on, or park it against a wall while youre doing it.)

this isnt a diff, and it hasnt got a level plug, goto a scrap yard and get a new dipstick... off a similar vehicle of course...

my jag took around 4-5litres of fluid from empty, my volvo was similar... and its TQF, its red.
