I met this guy off the internet about 2 weeks ago, we had been chattinf for a year and then finally met, but we ended up sleeping together, it was fantastic, we got on great, he still continued to text me for a week after, and he wanted to meet agaian, but then this week I have heard nothing from him, I have text him and he hasn't replied, plus he is off abroad for a year next month. I don't get why he is suddenly ignoring me, did he use me? if so, why didnt he ignore me straight away? I'm so confused? Has this ever happened to you?

He may be busy and not by a computer. Doesn't he have your phone and you his? Men tend to feel a relationship is a done deal, not realizing it takes maintenance. Hopefully he's out getting things together for your future, said the dreamer. Of course he could be a player and has found another love, that quick and really thinks this is the one, until he turns his head again. That's the working definition of a love addict. We just don't know. Best to get on with it until you have more information. I will say that we don't own anyone. If I see a flower, I love it, but don't expect anything back for loving it, epecially from the flower. Love is a gift to ourselves, no one owes us anything. Like a gift, we give freely, there were no vows. We have to be independant and take responsibility for our own acts as adults. If we expect a commitment we have to ask for it. Hm. Sounds harsh, I'm sorry, it just seems fairly true as a rule. To give love at a price is like a trade. How do we reconcile that with what we always thought? If you give your love, I guess it's one thing. If you give yourself in a commitment it's another and all else falls in between?

Sounds like he is a real jerk. I would tell him that you are not going to stand for his little games and that you dont want to see him anymore. What a ***! You dont deserve that.
