Hi Dean. A pitch control is used to to slightly speed up or slow down the turning of the platter so that the turntable is spinning at the correct.speed.If the turntable is wavering between fast and slow (known as "wow and flutter') you can adjust the speed with the pitch control. If it is a bit fast you can slow it down of if it is a bit slow you can speed it up.There is a stroboscope at the edge of the turntable platter .If the marks on the strobe appear to be stationary when the turntable is spinning,that means the turntable is rotating at the correct speed.If the marks on the strobe appear to move to the left or to the right you can use the pitch control to steady the lines.

EDIT....I am not familiar with that brand name .Are they mainly for DJs .Are they good enough to be used in a high fidelity sound system ? Thanks.
