For three and a half years we've been watching Victor Hugo's play "Le roi s' amuse" .
With the Duke of Mantova being entertained by his buffoons - Rigolettos' roles, Polydoras reciting poetry, Basiakos trying to attract TV camera's interest and Souflias inaugurating metro stations telling (wannabe) Sarakatsan jokes....
Now that Peloponisos and Evoia have become Dante's Inferno, "sorry seems to be the hardest word" ?
" l' etat c' est moi " consequences must be an honest admission: "Mea culpa"...Or not ?
After Rigoletto's scream: " Ah, la maledizione ! ", le Roi s' amuse ancore?
Or the play now is "Le Roi est nu" ?

Yes being a native myself it brings me to tears every time I watch the Greek news lately... Unfortunately compile with careless farmers and herders attempting to clear fields and the usual carelessness of smokers and campers it is suspected that political agendas of oppossing political parties are attempting to create chaos this election years... over 145 different fires so far and 63 casualties... The Pirmeminister has issued a stated of emergency and has give the military the duty of overseeing and conducting the efforts of getting these fires under control... hopefully this will put an end to this terrible and unfortunate incident My prayers are with my country and it's people and hope all will be well... please pray for them too Ancient Olympia is saved only surrounding trees were burned

The slaves chorus from Nabucco: "Va pensiero sull' ali dorate, va ti posa sui clivi sui colli, ove olezzano tiepide e molli, l' aure dolci del suolo natal".
That existed until a few days ago, and now they are turned to ashes.
As for the Roi, il n'est pas mort. In a few days his supporters will cream : "Vive le Roi". And long live his bufoons too.

I hope the others understand what you mean, for many days i am watching the quarels of the politicians on tv...The disaster is so less in front of their personal glory, and i suppose one part of the elections is based on it...
For me the disaster is used by them in order to deal with something and throw as on the eyes of the people as we say...
During the disaster of the first fires, the chanels were ''covered''by windows plenty of the faces of politicians...
It was also a way to show who they are...
The coordination less as always, people, houses, animals,dead...fgire was reaching and threatening inhabitated places and not only....
But their life is assured when in reality they have their personal guard...
As for the citizens?
Once again like the sheep we ll go to vote for the good of the country...
Is it really for the good?Or for the pocket and the personal interests of every individual who lives in Greece?
But.....according to the mentality iof''it doesnt matter''.....who is caring for the disaster, since in a short time the dream of every new rich will be true?A villa with swimming pool...
Independently if his life is limitated because of lack of natural sources...

Angele, you have my full support on your stance. But I am wondering, who did tell them that people needs moral assistance from moral perpetrators or crocodile tears from masters of corruption?
