No -- Homosexuality is not an illness, it does not require treatment, and is not changeable.

This question is asked on here at least once a day.
There is no "cure" for gayness, because there is nothing to cure. It's not a disease, it's a sexual orientation, like heterosexuality. Is there a cure for heterosexuality? No. Why? Because heterosexuals were born that way. It's the same thing with gay and bisexual people.

A cure? Are you for real? When there's a cure for heterosexuality, then there'll be a cure for being gay. That's the thinking that has destroyed the lives of thousands of people and put them through all sorts of personal hells. No wonder Dorothy Parker said hell is other people!

I guess your not really their best friend if you are asking this question. If you are their friend why not accept them for who they are like a true friend would?
herman m's - I guess your talking about Anne Heche, I remember reading interviews with her when she was dating Ellen and she always said that she fell in love with the person and not the gender and that is how she approached any relation she was in. So from that you could guess that she is bisexual and thus marrying a man wasn't a "cure", just another relationship in someones life. Also, her and her EX-husband are getting a divorce and fighting for custody of the child, how happy does that sound?

Why do you think he is? What business is it of yours? Why are you trying to interfere in his life? What right have you to decide what he is is "wrong"? If you were his best friend you would just love him for who he is and stop interfering in his life . A cure????? You really are trolling

i would have thought being with you would put him off guys forever so I guess there is NO cure after all. don't expect this guy to be your friend much longer if you keep throwing crap like that at him. If you can't be his friend without judging him then step out of his life

The CURE is within the person himself.
If he would like to change that is…
Out generation welcomes Gay People…
Personally, I find them good and very artistic.
I have lots of Gay friends and they are admirable.
Many are professionals and very successful in their chosen career.
I respect people’s preferences…
I am sure they would have chosen to go straight if... they can.
It is hard not to live up to the expectations of others
And I am sure they feel bad if others can’t understand them… more so a friend.
If you are a true friend…
The Happiness of your friend is more important
The Gay factor should be negligible to YOU
Sometimes, he could be a better friend as a gay
Than others whom they call Normal but are untrue.
Respect your Gay friend’s preference ….
I’m sure he would stand by your side forever.

Not a disease so there can be no cure.
Is there a cure for blue eyes? or height? or skin color?
