Your question is little confusing. If you have been is Sharjah on a work visa and it has been canceled on April 2007 then you might be a got a 6 months ban at the time of cancellation. You can go back to UAE on visit or another work visa once your ban period is over.

If you are saying that you got the visa from Sharjah and your sponsor has canceled it (before using) then there will be no ban. The department will refuse your visa application if the ban is still valid. In other words you can go back if you got the visa.

Good luck.

As far as I know if it was cancelled in April 2007, and you left your employment without resigning you will have a 6 month ban . Although, this may not be on your passport it will be recorded officially and airport authorities will most probably have this information too. If so, you will still be on the ban. You have to wait a few more months before entering on a visit visa.

since your visa status is cancelled, you will have an automatic ban of 6 months, which will be recorded in the labour department. During this period you will not be able to apply for a employment visa. However, you can get a visit visa for Dubai, this 6months ban doesnt apply for visit visa. But if you are planning to change from your visit visa to employment visa, that is not possible. you will have to wait for the 6 months ban to finish.
