It could be that they have been lying around doing so very little for so very long that someone who was cleaning the room vacuumed them up. They are calling out desperately from the vaccum bag.
Or I suppose it could mean that they are so disconnected from the world that nothing from the world reaches them, and vice versa.

Its a figure a speech to imply that teens are disengaged from the real world, that teens live in their own reality or world separate from others and their realities. This has been used to describe the elitists politicians who cannot empathize with the plight of poor and thus are to be from a "vacuum".

this means teenagers are easily manipulated, they get vacuum , they are easily get tempted with things, easily drag with some sort of things, teenagers are agressive, easily swindled i guess....thats why parents are there for guidance...
