This war will not end until Americans demand it with civil disobedience and protest. The war is being run by corporate America, who also control the candidates for president (Dem and Rep.). Electing a Democrat who works for them is no different than electing a Republican who works for them.

The terrorist attacked us when a Democrat was in office, 4 times, once on US soil. They attempted atleast one other time that was stopped. So no, we are not at war just because a Republican is in office. Most of the planning for 9-11 was done on Clinton's watch. To the terrorists, it didn't matter if Bush or Gore won, their plan was the same.

The war w/i Iraq has been going on for centuries! I suspect, based on the stability of the current Iraqi government, that this country will make every effort to hold onto their freedom. When one is dealing with insurgents so filled with hatred, it's a crap shoot at best! BTW, this is NOT a Republican war, it is a war of the USA Congress. Can't anyone remember this fact?

No, because Iran has already stated their intentions to "fill the void" and if we pull our troops out too soon, it will only be a matter of time before we have to send them back in...to a much more dangerous and violent and costly situation.

They long for someone to enter the White House who will reinstate the policy of turning a blind eye to their call for our destruction, as though that act will make them go away.
