A question takes you 5 points. Even if you choose a best answer after, you are still left with a 2 point deficit. Also, if you don't - you will bombared with the nasty "heads up, extend your question" mails. And their overall intelligence is probably higher than average, thus the input they receive may not be very useful.

is it funny or a conicidence that you gain 2 pts. for ansering (which takes 2 sec. like the q's judas ansers) and that you lose 5 pts for actually doing what makes this place go round (asking a question)?

well... they anser good questions and get 10 points for best answer and 3 extra points for answering a question... they can also go back and delete the questions

The same reason you aquired 14% best answers or maybe "they" have friends who "like" their answers better than anyone elses.
