Wood is the best BBQ fuel , it takes some time to get it hot, but weve had BBQ's at the house and the coals are still hot in the am , hardwoods last the longest, while there are types that can flavor the meat. Its by far hotter then charcoal or propane.

Smoke less charcoal, unless u want that origanal smokey tast on ure food, use a little bitn of lighter fluid to get the brickets going, Personally I prefer the authentic grilled taste, mine's is a couple of cheese-burgers and a big chiken leg, mmmh, I can almost taste it now.!!!!

If you like the smell of propane that's fine, if you like the taste of meat, it's coals. Of course propane is faster but for people that are lazy, but you get a better taste and quality, with coals.
