I used to say to my Husband, "Let's see IF we've won the Lottery" He told me to be more positive and say let's see how Much we have won on the Lottery, and, do you know?
It hasn't made the slightest difference!
Hey Ho, I'll keep trying though. I have to because I made the mistake long ago to do the same line of numbers.

The chances of winning the lottery are the same whether you play the same line every time or change that line. You only increase your chances if you do multiple lines. The result is always random therefore the people that believe in selecting the most popular or least popular numbers are just as random as picking one yourself and still have the same chance of being selected. There are ways to improve your success and that is seeing yourself being presented with your cheque, what would you spend it on, etc. As with everything in this world - if you truly believe it will happen without any doubts - it will happen. Luck does not play a part.

There was this fella who used to pray each week, "Lord, let me win the lottery." And each week his numbers were never called. After about a year of this, he called, "Lord, why won't you let me win the lottery?"
A loud voice boomed out that said, "YA BIG DUMMY! YA GOTTA BUY A LOTTERY TICKET FIRST!"
But talking about winning a lottery. Years ago, my dad would go each week and play my baby sister's birthday. Several years went by. One evening my mother called (we lived 2 states apart). She said, "I'm going to tell you something and if you let your brothers and sisters know, I'll strangle you." My dad had won $25,000! So, my mom and dad bought a new furnace, new furniture, etc, etc. To this day, even though mom and dad are dead now, my brothers and sisters never knew he had WON the money but thought my folks had gotten all that stuff on credit! Why don't they know and I do? Since I left home in '65, no matter how tight things got, I never asked them for money. However, my sisters and brothers saw mom and dad as the local loan office and grocery store.
So, remember, when ever we ask God to help us out in something, get off your duff and DO something so the Lord can push you in the right direction! Just like the guy who needed a job and asked God to bring him a job. The guy never went out to APPLY for a job and got mad at God when he never got one!

Not yet! But some people have won by just using the same numbers all the time. but you win much more in America. I saw a program where an old couple in their late 80's won 198 million. And I just thought, how absolutely great!

Just keep trying, you never know.

Nothing of significance, well, hardly anything really, (about £4 11 years ago, as part of a syndicate) still dreaming of the big one. Actually, I did dream of having a big win once, even gave me a date, but not the numbers or the year, so I just put it down to wishful dreaming.

I only have a go occasionally for a bit of fun, if I start to take it seriously I stop, so the odds aren't too good!

I've tried the positive thinking too!

I won the lottery when I met my husband. We'll never be rich in money (because our children keep taking it before we even get a chance to discuss what we'd like to do for ourselves), but we have each other, our home, food in the pantry and three beautiful cats who brighten our lives.

Fortunately, we don't have to rely on public transportation, because it's virtually non-existent outside the city limits. We don't drive big, fancy cars, but they're in decent shape and get us where we need to go.

But to give a very real answer to your question, all we've ever won in our state lottery is a free play.

I used to forget to buy tickets all the time so I buy them online now. I have a monthly subscription for two lines, twice a week. This way, there are no lost tickets and they even email you if you have won.

However, in all the years it has been going, I have won about four tenners, £70 in 1999 and £90 six months ago. I can dream.....

I've never won the lottery, but I figure if I ever start playing it I will win it.
