I'm curious as to the average amount of albums metal fans have. So about how many metal only records/cds/tapes do you own -do not include rock, emo, punk, or any other genre please.
And roughly how many do you purchase on a monthly basis?
At the moment I own only about 2500 metal albums (this is actually not that many compared to some metal fans).

Only 2500 metal albums? Likely surpasses all the CD's I have in my entire collection. I still say that's a lot for anyone. I would have to go downstairs and do a census for the exact number and I haven't put clothes on for that yet!
OK, I got clothes on now, but no time to count because I need to pick up the newest Type O. So, we will be at X + 1.

i own atleast 379 metal albums. It depends how much money i have but the average is 2 to 4 cds monthly. I have no hardcore nor metalcore albums. All are black, thrash, glam, death, viking, crossover thrash, symphonic black, blackened death, power, doom, and brutal death metal. more than 3/4 of the cds i have were bought at a local store called the headstand and some were ordered online. damn with that amount me and some of my friends would never want to leave your house.

I have a couple of hundred. I buy maybe five CDs a month now as I'm trying to save money. But I will keep adding to my collection.

I own close to... Hmph, rough estimate, 3000+?
And I usually buy about 5 to 20 a month, depending on what comes out.
