ABSOLUTELY NOT! He had the benefit of playing along side of Sakic. Sakic does NOT get the credit he deserves. It's terrible what the league and fans have done to him.
Sakic even during his days in Quebec was so far ahead of everyone else it was scary.
WHEN will this guy get his due respect?
Forsberg was a good player, but he mooched off Sakic.. look what happened to him after that.

he was a great hockey player a few years ago, especially during the colorado/detroit rivalry. His injuries have affected him more than you think now. His game isnt like it was.
Sidney Crosby is not the best...atleast not yet. He might be in the next few seasons. The best hockey player in the NHL would have to be a player that is strong on both sides of the ice, defense and offense!

No.
Forsberg was known as the best player in the game after leading the league in point in 02/03 then getting 55 in 39 in 03/04.
Now, when uninjured hes not always been the same. He is still a star player when uninjured though.
Crosby seems like the best option for best in the world
Then Thornton

Thornton is a better version of Forsberg when healthy, and Crosby is a better all around player than both of them.

Not a chance. I'd give the Centre nod to Joe Thornton then Sid the Kid. Forsberg is in the top 5.

i wouldnt say so. He is a great player when healthy. A star never the less. As far as the best among active players i would say Jagr , Shanahan , Brodeur and a few others can make the case.

He was arguably the best at one time, he is far from the best now.
What do you mean by best?
Best at what.
Was Gretzky the best, he was the best scorer but how about all the other areas he lacked in.
Best ever, Bobby Orr, score, skate, shoot, fight, he did it all.
