In no particular order...
1. Cary Grant. He is gorgeous and funny and just has this honest way of talking...not to mention a good actor. Also not afraid to do a pratfall. I like that in a man.
2. Jimmy Stewart. I like his "style," the way he always seems sort of befuddled, and his effortlessly funny way of talking and moving around and looking at people.
3. Katharine Hepburn, hard not to love :) She lights up the screen in every movie she's in, and she never lets anything get her down...her performances bring an almost frenetic energy to anything she does. <3 And her acting! She doesn't act, she lives her parts...the characters she plays are as much a part of her as she is of them. Good at comedy, good at dramatic scenes, good at anything and everything she put her mind to - she could have been a damn good scriptwriter, judging from her autobiography. OK, I'll stop gushing now...
4. Bette Davis. She once said she learned to act "with her whole body," and it shows - her expressions are evident not only in her face and the inflections of her voice, but in the way she moves. It's a quality one doesn't find in many actresses. Also, she knew how to pout and she could do both comedy and drama well.

1. Clark Gable: 3 words: KING OF HOLLYWOOD
2. Adolphe Menjou: He is a dignified and wonderful actor. His career spanned years from silents into the talkies. Not many actors can say that!!! He is truly a master of his art.
3. Marlene Dietrich: FABULOUS. She is amazing especially in the early 30's and under Von Sternberg's direction. She is a stunning, magnetic, and beautiful actress.
4. Garbo.
*** if i could pick one more of each it would be: Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn****

That's kinda rough to narrow down, but...I guess I'll go with Bogart and Gary Cooper/Bette Davis and Barbara Stanwyck.
