Any star with planets orbiting it.
Our nearest neighbor is about 4 light years away. The Alpha Centauri solar system has three stars. We have found other planets orbiting other stars, so those would be other solar systems.
Our sun is called Sol in Latin, so that is where the name SOLar System came from; it is the Sol System.
Stars have solar systems, stars form galaxies and stellar clusters and all the stars along with everything else, including the empty space in between is the universe.

The Solar System is all planets, moons, planetoids, asteroids and any other objects that are within the limits of the influence of our Sun, and that is much further than Pluto.

solar system consists of planets, moons, asteroid our solar system belong to a galaxy which if you a picture of it our solar system is just like a dot to the milky way galaxy.... there are other galaxies out there and it is believed that the universe which includes the entire everything out there on outer space is expanding...COOL..huh?
