ok so here is the deal, I'm not sure if my water has a small slight leak or what the heck is going on... I have for the last two days had slight leakage (just wets my panties a little) every now and again, I have checked it and its not just discharge there is no smell no color and its not slippery in any way shape or form, at first I thought I was just dribbling a little urine as if I hadn't wiped well enough or was sweating but now I'm starting to question that as I have ruled out urine as a definite!! I'm 39 weeks 2days preggers with my first child any help would be greatly appreciated :D

It could be that your Hind waters have broken not your fore waters which would result in a gush. Hind waters do the trickle thing! Its very important that once you have any waters breaking you let your obgyn or hospital know as labour should be started within 24hrs as it can lead to infection for you and baby which is not good. Normally if you water breaks and you don't go into labour they will induce you within 24hrs to make sure you don't get infection. It has been 2 days so I would be picking up the phone straight away. Most likely they will tell you to come in for an exam.

Please inform your doctor immediately!

could be maybe? Discharge is normal this state in pregnancy and it can do that - I would recommend going and getting check though at the hospital. They can figure out for sure what it is. If you are leaking and you've been leaking for 2 days you are at risk for an infection around your baby which is dangerous (life threatening). I would go to the hospital where you will be delivering at (where your doctor is) and have them check. It is important to go there and not another hospital because they have your prenatal records.

You probably should get checked by the doc just to see what's going on. When my water broke it was a gush and very obvious. The labor pains started about an hour after. Don't be afraid to call the doc and tell him what's going on. Good luck and congrats!

with my first my water broke first,
i thought i'd lost bladder control too, it wasn't a huge gush but a slow steady trickle.. however it was enough to have to use a pad and change it often.. call your doctor or the birthing center you'll be dlivering at to ask their advice. good luck and congrats!

the problem with your water being broken for so long is that they fear there is a risk of infection, which is why they decided to induce me when they found out my water was broken and my labor was taking a very long time- 36 hours.

It sounds like your water did break. It's common for there to be a trickle trickle instead of a big gush. Usually if your water does break you have to have the baby within 24 hours because your susceptible to infection. I would go ahead and go to the hospital and tell them you think your water had broken and they can check to see if your dilating. It sounds to me like you will be having a baby pretty soon. Good Luck

yeah go to labor and delivery and do a ph swab to see if it's amniotic fluid

my last birth 10 weeks ago my water had broke but i also wasn't sure

they midwife on call confirmed it with the test.......she said i must have had a high slow leak cuz with her manual exam she wasn't sure

so you could very well could have a small leak but you really should go to labor and delivery to see

good luck
