Mine are Gone With the Wind and Little Women. I read Gone With the Wind when I was twelve and it changed my life because most of the books I had read before then had ended with a happy ever after. As soon as I finished it I started reading it again thinking I must have missed something. That might be why it has remained my favorite because it did not end happy ever after. Little Women was my other favorite I read around ten because I had three sisters and I could identify with the characters. I read it at least once a year from the library at my school and when I graduated and moved on to high school I could not bear to leave the book behind. I checked it out one last time and told the school I had lost it I paid the fine and today it is the most important book I own. I have read a lot of books since these two but none of them have ever taken their place and I have read a lot of good books. Are they still my favorites because I spent many nights under the covers with my flashlight reading them when I should have been asleep when I was so young and impressionable maybe. Or it could be the March sisters being young and not being able to imagine ever growing up and leaving each other behind when they grew up and their lives took different paths. But then they did grow up as happened with my own sisters. Could it be because they are the two best books ever written that they remain my favorites? I think it is all of those things combined and I don't think I will ever read a book that will replace them because I will never be ten or twelve again, I will never read that great love story for the first time again, I won't grow up with my sisters again while I am reading about Meg leaving to get married, Beth dying, Amy going off to Europe and Jo leaving for a job. I hope I will never have to hide under the covers with a flashlight to read again but all of these things together had a part in making me who I am.

The Fellowship of the Ring and the two other books in the Lord of the Rings trilogy taught me that it is okay to love and dream and dare to be. There are JudeaoChristian values in it that are taught in an epic fantasy which arouses curiosity for our culture, history, and philology.
You can read this book every year and not get tired of it. I've read it four times, seen two different film versons of it. I intend to read it with or for my children too, when they are of age.

Any books written by Sarah Dessen -- Mainly.. "Just Listen", "The Truth About Forever", and "Dreamland." They all deal with young adult issues... rape, dealing with the death of a parent, and abuse. The way the writing flows is just amazing and really gets me thinking how I can apply everything in these books to my own life, and make it better. <3

The BIBLE, It is so full of truth, hope.
The one thing i like about it , that God is the Author and God is my father. If you don't know who God is then this book wouldn't mean a thing to the reader.

Genetopia, it's a new sci-fi novel. It was...weird? It was good, especially since I don't often read science fiction.
