The government is corrupt.
It is run as a fascism of the filthy rich through bribes and greed.
There is no excuse for the imbalance except for the people with everything want to keep it that way. And... THEY have the wealth, which equals power.
The rest of the blinded, controlled masses are starting to wake up from media distractions and lies, from decoy oil wars with the pretense of a "war on terrorism".
The government hides technology that could be used for the benefit of the environment and the inhabitants of this planet, because there is still money to be made with the old technologies.

And how can any one think I am not being logical, when anything they've seen or heard on TV is just filtered, spoon-fed, god damn subliminal messaging?

And please just do yourself and yours truly a favor, and open your mind as a human being Honest, unbiased consideration. I am lucid, I am aware, I am your brother and I want whats best for you and all of us. Or does this fall on deaf ears?

Safety! - I am not suggesting anything rash, like a physical, forced overthrow. We have brains, we should find a way to expose the government, make them transparent, so that at least we have a real democracy if nothing else.

McKenzie - Anybody who thinks they know anything about the government is ignorant, unless they are one of the very, very few who actually determines what happens in this country. Now this is why your attitude is what is wrong with this country - It is NOT A COMPETITION. I am not concerned about being at the top of the food chain, this is our species, and I am concerned with them any less because we are separated by an ocean? Complacent is right, turn a blind eye to the suffering of your fellow man McKenzie, and talk like you know what the **** is happening in the world.

Lateshak - Instead of feeling provoked to insult me, why not offer a valid viewpoint or argument to my QUESTION, which is "How can we hasten the (r)evolution?" You added nothing to this thread except to provide a good example of how threatened people feel when faced with real issues. It is a shame.

Terrific question. Yes it is time for change. Our country, for the average American citizen, is almost destroyed.

We need to put politicians in both parties on notice. We keep the Constitution, hold special elections--first have a yea or nay no-confidence vote on the current administration, if yea, we hold additional elections. The result of the elections should be the replacement of those in all three branches of government, executve, legislative, and judicial. Institute term limits and campaign contribution limits.

Destroy the slanted media that is owned by globalist monopolies and replace the slackers with real jounalists who are willing to investigate and report without bias or the advertisers approval and stop using the White House and propaganda machines to do their reporting for them with prewritten news releases.

Put the government to work for the people. Launch a Manhattan Project style search for the best, least expensive alternative fuel to drive this nation. Say goodbye to oil and the Middle East will have to go to work instead of fighting with everyone who doesn't believe as they do.

Find a way to provide health care insurance at a low cost by re-doing the entire medical system in this country.

Take the power away from global coporations. Create American jobs at home for America people.While government statistics show our unemployment rate to be around 6 percent, some experts estimate that it is really between 10 and 11 percent if all the Americans who have exhausted unemployment benefits and just given up looking for work were counted. Put every American who needs an income to work.

No more illegal aliens--no excuses--you go back home. Slow immigration and make sure those who threaten this county leave this country. No more enemy aliens (an alien living in a country that is at war with his own country).

Promote family life, encourage young couples--with affordable housing and community support.

Nationalize all foreign holdings in the US. Kick BP out.

Fumigate the Department of Education--house clean. Revamp the education system with a new hands on approach to education. Tell the truth in textbooks--no international propaganda.

Get international policy institutes out of our decision making process.

Stop the dangerous trade with China and the import of its goods to the US. Tell the Pacific Rim that it's on its own.

Eliminate the United Nations and the World Bank. They want to destroy the sovereign country of the United States of America.

Allow the American citizen to excel and continue to do the miraculous job of growing the nation that it did before 2000.

Send the Bush family to the moon or Madagascar or Mexico, but get them and all their cronies out of this country.

Here's my question to you--can you do this, do you have the will or are you too dazed and beaten down, American?

Well get off you behind or your knees and let's go--let's turn our country around!

There are about 320 million people in the U.S. Looking at polls, it is likely that there are about 60 million people so seriously ticked off with the Bush Administration that they are ready to take some sort of action against it.

There are several million people within an hour's drive of D.C.

So what if a healthy percentage of these ticked-off people showed up in D.C. on September 15, 2007, at mid-day, in front of Lafayette Park, for a demonstration and march on the Capitol against the war and the assault on free speech?

I agree with you. However, here's the tough part. No revolution, including the revolution that formed the United States of America, has been conducted without bloodshed.

And the framers of that revolution, the men who signed the Declaration of Independence, put their names on that document knowing that the very act was treason against their existing government, and that they faced the gallows for doing so.

But let's look at the great second paragraph:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Here's the question: should our government be abolished?

Or should it be altered?

I say it can and should be altered before it is too late.

How to do that? One way is with a display of the sheer numbers of people who want change now.

Son, we hear the same cries every generation, every election, from every group that is NOT in power.

It's tiring. It's wasteful.

It's silly.

We have a system that works. It's brought us to the top of the "food chain" of nations, with our poor so well off that they are complacent with a TV, stereo, car, video games, DVD players...and that's the poor.

You think there's going to be a revolution?

The people making your complaint are the people who don't RUN for government, don't know anything about it, and therefore have no real power or understanding of it.

Those who do run, learn about it, become part of it, understand how silly what you (and possibly they) are/were in attitude, and give it up.

There's no way to hasten a revolution that exists only in the minds of socialists and the naturally seditious.

His wife Marie Antoinette spending tons and tons of money. they lived very wealthy while much of france was very poor. the country was in debt from funding of other wars. like the American revolution. unemployment. taxation. absolute monarchy. the national Assembly with the majority of the third party(the poorer part.) was annoyed with the two richer parties. storming of the bastille. you can find more stuff in wikipedia.

the people are starting to realize the GOP is full of it. If only the democratic party would only grow some spine and actually do what the people want. What frightens me is substituting Hillary for Bush. I really would prefer someone who is going to be more of an agent of change, reform and moving away from business as usual.

Every time I try to tell people these things they look at me like I am crazy. They call me unpatriotic and that if I had family dieing I wouldn't be saying those things, but I agree with you that I care for all human beings and that's why I want this to be stopped. I just hope the revolution comes before it is too late.
