What you think and what is reality are entirely different. Many studies have proven the bias in both the print media and network news media.

Lets see: in the last two presidential elections there was a lot of evidence that voting machines were not counting votes accurately, people were being illegally disenfranchised, etc. In the two states that had large populations and a lot of these problems (Florida in 2000, Ohio in 2004) the person responsible for overseeing the elections was a partisan republican (in Ohio Ken Blackwell was in charge of the elections AND he was the chair of the Bush campaign for the state. Yeah, that's not a conflict of interest...). Now it's entirely possible that none of this is true and I'm just a nut, but if the media had an overall liberal bias, wouldn't they have picked this up and run wild with it even if it wasn't true? After all, the Bush people (i.e. Karl Rove and his henchmen) trumpeted all kinds of horrible stories about the Clinton people trashing the White House before Bush moved in, all of which were completely discredited, and the media dutifully reported the stories as fact and never corrected them when they were debunked. That's just one example of the media being a lap dog for the conservatives. The truth is there are far more people on mainstream tv, radio and in print with an obvious conservative bias than liberal, and the notion of a liberal press is a myth that is stoked by conservatives because it serves their interests.

It is bushiite! The only liberal media I know of are the few radio stations that have Air America. There are some relatively liberal shows on tv, like Keith Olbermann and
Jon Stewart, so cons generalize and say ALL the media is liberal. I guess they want a station that NEVER QUESTIONS anything the government does. Fox News isn't even a completely conservative station, but it has Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, and frequent appearances by AnnCoulter, but still I wouldn't label FOX as a whole as having a right wing agenda. Most of their shows are just basic, superficial coverage of the news just like all the other stations.
Cons tend to be Black and White thinkers, so if they see that there's one liberal talking on CNN, they label the whole network as communist propaganda. Really bright, huh?
How about all the right wing preachers on am radio? They should also be counted as conservative media, so in my opinion, there's very little liberal media, just a few hosts that think for themselves, so the stations that have them are labeled as liberals.

Special K you are not so special today. I usually enjoy your Q & A but this one is really one sided. Media is media. Whether it is on TV, on talk radio in a paper or whatever it is still a lot of times nothing but propaganda. All the forums that put out news and hold discussions are there for one reason and one reason only - to make more of the almighty dollar bill. All this talk about one party this and one party that only further indicates to me that we will never find the proper and lasting solutions to problems facing the world. Until we all start to work together in unity to create answers to our problems we'll all continue to be bumbling idiots. God made all men equal. No man is better than another. I think people should learn more about each candidate, do some research then make a decision on who is best for the job. Neither party is right or wrong. Love you though - looking forward to your next question.

Any event, that does not follow the make-believe world that ultra-right wing fanatics wrap themselves in, are the lies of liberal media bias.
The funny thing is, the same people calling the media, liberal, are employed by the same people who make money of the media companies they are calling liberal. These owner/operators cater to both sides for a reason...to make money off controversy. Its sad that people have not wised up to it yet.

What is even more hilarious, is that people bashing Hillary still watch FOX, making the guy who owns it and supports Hillary even more money in which to donate to her campaign.

If the media was really Liberal, they would be running stories about how congress has allowed Bush to ignore the United States vs Nixon ruling of the Supreme Court for over half a decade.

People are much easier to control, when they think they have a choice. And in this case you either have the choice to absorb conservative media or liberal media controlled by the same people.

most of the american media has been gobbled up by big multinational corporations. (See rupert murdoch, etc.).

This means that the media is increasingly controlled more and more by conservatives who run such corporations who have a pro big business republican agenda. The idea that most of our media is liberal is a myth.
Take a look at the TV pundits with their own TV shows for example. How many of them are clear conservatives, and how many of them are clear liberals?

In the case of fox news, clearly the edict has come down from above about a certain overt agenda. In other cases even with CNN for examples, the edict may not be as blatant, but it is there like some sort of glass ceiling that the journalist cannot penetrate. They can only go so far, before they are called in to the boss' office and told not to make too many waves.

Ben Aqui is right. Rupert Murdoch owns alot of what we hear and see on television these days and he's pretty much made everything into a tabloid carnivale. Just look what he did to the New York Times. I hate to think what he's going to do with the Wall street Journal and all its subsidaries now that he owns it. the t.v media is corporate and they only provide their side of the information and it is only what they want you to hear so they can keep manipulating you and our government.
If we had a real news media, it would have questioned Bush in an intensive way before he invaded Iraq just like good journalists should question. But today's media was so gun ho about the war, that they served as Bush's biggest propaganda tool and marketer of the war. They pushed for it.

Right... nice comparison

Conservative radio
vs.
NBC, ABC, CBS, NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Public TV, College radio.

Conservative may have 90% of the talk radio, but Libs have well over 90% of the major news networks on television. Not exactly a fair comparison no matter how you look at it.

All you have to do is sit and listen. You can clearly hear and see the liberal and conservative differences. There is no argument here. It is clear and plain, right in front of your face what side they push for. We as idividuals have to sort it all out now. Do a little work of our own to find the truth.

There is a lot of talk about the liberal media because people can see whose running the most left-winged stories. To believe that the news media doesn't interject their own politics is to believe the world is flat.

All the media is controlled my the same people.
You get more truth from the Internet(and some radio) now since the government doesn't have control of it yet.

I always get a kick out of liberals saying the media is too conservative and the conservatives saying the media is too liberal.
