ok we have been rethinking our name choice. so which is better? choose one girl name and one boy name. I really like these but i can't decide between them. Not considering other options at this time. Last name is Pfeffermann

those are REALLY bad names in my opinion but if i MUST choose one each, id pick:
Zebidiah Cornelius because Cledus reminds me of the red neck squirrel hunting dood from the simpsons. Zebidiah is pretty bad and Cornelius as a middle name makes it strange but even so, they are better than Cledus.
Mildred Ethel because I've never heard of a girl named Florence and it acturally sounds like a boys name. Mildred, i've heard of but both Mildred and Ethel makes me think of an old lady. But your kid's gonna get old eventually.
Seriously, those names are really out of date. it is actually a double edged sword in my opinion with those kinds of names. like say if they become the "outcasts" of the school, that would only make things worse for them because it draws attention to them, thus they might get teased. on the other hand if they are "popular" girls would think the dood's name is exotic and mysterious and boys will....i don't think guys care. they'd care more if the girl was hot. but that's all thinking ahead. after highschool it's all good.

I would choose Cledus Earl and Florence Gertrude...
But I prefer you change the name of the poor baby......
If I suggest a name it would be:
1. Samantha Mischa -Nickname: Mishie
2. Matt Jared -nickname: Matt

Not bad, but of those I would only choose Florence (with a different middle name, like Ann or Marie). If you are looking for a classy and masculine boy name thing about Alexander, that sounds great with your last name (and goes pretty good with Earl for a middle name). Good luck!
