Ok people so please dont judge;
If U use a blue hangtag in a parking area that is free public parking BUT limited to 4 hours is it illegal? I work for a company that does not have anywhere U can park for free, there's employee parking but that cost $30-35...and i'm broke. I only work for 5 hours and this parking area is about 2 minutes away..I was told that If I use the tag I can park my entire shift w/ no trouble? There are other places to park but It would cost me between $10-13 per/5 day; Soooo... I'm just wondering if I'm making a mistake or if this will work out for me untill I get my finances in order...Then I SWEAR i'll quit!!
Thanks for the Answerz

First of all,are you handicapped and did you get the placard by legal means? If you aren't handicapped or if you are using someone else's parking tag,then of course you are wrong.
If you are truly handicapped and are legally allowed to use the tag,then by all means park there. In my state(PA) if you have a handicapped tag on your car,you can legally park an extra hour over the parking time limit without getting a ticket.
Not having the money to pay for parking is not an excuse to take the parking spot of a person who is truly disabled and needs that spot,possibly to be able to get their wheelchair in and out of their vehicle.

It is wrong to use if you are not handicapped, but I have seen so many people get these tags and they are just fine. Some use them from their grandmothers and such. I think this handicapped parking is a little over rated if you ask me. I have been to stores, looking for parking and find at least 10 empty spaces for the hadicapped, but still, I have to find a parking space somewhere else. I have been in two car accidents and have a bad back and right side, but cannot get handicapped parking. In the winter I often walk in pain from a far away space, only to see a young guy hop out of a car parked in a handicapped space and run fast into the store. I don't know where you live but that's pretty high in price just to park. I would say use it if you can. These are man's laws anyway, and this world belongs to God.

Regardless of the handicapped hangtag and its associated legalities, if the lot is limited to 4 hours and you work for 5 hours, you're likely to get a parking ticket anyway.

LMFAO!!! I agree and locate it hilarious, yet there's a average distinction via fact handicapped people must be closer to the door yet in addition they must be propery accomodated (which includes interior the individuals With Disibilities Act). I see the place your coming from, yet i do no longer think of they are able to place in writing a cost tag for utilising a handicapped restroom 0_o

Tell your employer to cover your parking or you quit.
Using a handicapped placard is bad karma, plus in California it's a $551 fine.

Go ask the person who owns the parking lot or your local police department to be safe.

By your story it is apparent that you know it is wrong but are looking for someone to say it is okay. Sorry-not here. Your own conscience has answered your question.
