I think we were created, therefore I can reason that it is possible that life has a real purpose and a real meaning. Without a creator, life is without purpose or meaning and is utterly pointless:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and Nobel Laureate)

I think that God put our need for purpose and meaning into our human nature to point us to seek Him. Therefore I reason that seeking God and knowing our Creator is our purpose.
