I have been monitoring a child's website history by looking at his Temporary Internet File folder.
(Temporary Internet Files--Settings--View Files)
However, he figured out how to delete them. How can I prevent him from deleting his URL history?

You can use family key logger instead of looking at his temporary files http://www.spyarsenal.com/familykeylogger/

The only way to set up the thing to monitor is to buy a program or set up a site blocker in mozilla firefox. And if you do that he probably just wont use firefox and may still find a way to by-pass it. If he figured out how to delete the temporary folder then he's just gona figure out ways to get around what ever security you put up.

sturdy answer. i've got no longer examined it, yet because of the fact that disables the interface permitting a guy or woman to click the clean historic past button, i'm thinking they could nonetheless use a third occasion "privateness" app to clean it. i anticipate it is for an worker and/or toddler, and the majority merely click the clean button. In case that doesn't paintings, you ought to have the skill to set permissions for the registry key that shops the typed addresses. in case you goto the beginning up button, form in regedit and click ok. Browse right down to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftInt... ExplorerTypedURLs, staggering click it and click residences. From there you could set which customers have get entry to to make modifications. One area be conscious: The "historic past" is merely the addresses that have been typed in. in the event that they do a seek in Yahoo! and click hyperlinks from there, those won't take place in historic past. those pages WILL keep cookies even even with the shown fact that. So the comparable final answer could want for use to disable the Delete Cookies button.

You can't really, other than scraing your child (talking about the ISP having called ect..) if you are serious in monitoring your child's internet activites there are programs which do that.

P.S All browsers allow to delete history, a custom monitoring program would cost about 50$

If you have windows vista you can go to control panel-parental controls then set it to record all activity on your childrens account(s) it will record tie used, internet use, and other things. In this thing you can also make it so that your child can't log in after or before certain times.

One trying to hide their information will ALWAYS win. It's sad but true.

Unless you install actual software that simultaneously tracks where the child is going, he can't be tracked.

I agree with the other guy though. Get Firefox. It's better anyway, and you won't get viruses as easily.

I recommend buying software that records ALL things done on your PC. They save everything that happens and only you can view it.
