I think men and women are equal when it comes to civil rights and civic responsibilities. However it is quite obvious men and women are not equal in many other areas, such as physical strength.

There are no equal between anyone. Equality is just a term. I am not even talking about men vs women but everyone. People are different so how can they be equal. Does a son of a billionaire and a son of some bum in the street have an equal start? Does someone born with a handicap has an equal start in the rat race? No everyone is different, there are no true equality anywhere in this world.

Originially, way back when cavemen were still around, I am sure that women were regarded of a lower race. And even around the early 19th century, people still considered men to be of a higher race. Perhaps it is because some believe that women were meant to bear children, and nothing else. And also men are relatively stronger, bigger, and more intimidating. But it's a new generation, which means new things and ideas have sprouted. Which is why, yes, nowadays, women have the same rights as men, and there is equality. We haven't necessarily erased all the marks of inequality between men and women...for example, there's always going to be those people who are sexist. And there's always going to be those cultures where males are regarded higher than females. But we have managed to create a sense of equality between the two races.

When it comes right down to it, men and women have far more in common than they do differences. Yet we somehow can't get past the differences...why? We're all human beings. We all live with heavy pressures of society to conform to gender expectations. We're all oppressed in some form or fashion. We all want better lives for ourselves and for our children. We all want to live in relative peace and harmony. We all seek approval and love and attention. We all wish to be acknowledged in some way. We want happiness. We all feel pain when we are hurt. We cherish our loved ones. We're all equal in God's eyes. Why can't we be equal in each other's eyes? Why can't we accept our differences, be glad for them, appreciate them? Just because we're different doesn't mean one or the other is inferior.

They are quite similar except for some inevitable physical, emotional, and at times intellectual differences which don't always exist in some people. Equality means rights and responsibilities.

Do not confuse equality of identity with equality of opportunity and legality. I think equality under the law is right for all. Difference does not imply inferiority.

Yes I do. Although they're not similar, physically, but because of this factor they compliment each other. Imagine to have a similar shape pieces of puzzles, how are we going to connect it.? Only by having two difference set of anything, we're able to interconnect them into a complete set. So, everything have their own rights.
Thank you

I believe in equality for all. We live in a civilization where there is really no need for distinguishing gender roles. We have no need to put one race of people below any other, as we now have mechanical slaves to replace the human models of old.

Equality means being equal.
There should be equality between male and female.
If equality existed then of course women would have equal rights.
