I don't use my house phone that much and am on my cell phone more and more. Texting and talking..

I have a pre paid cell phone already but am thinking of getting one with a plan so I can have more minutes and get a better phone.

If I could find a pre paid cell phone that all the features that the plans would have.

Is this a good idea.? Any good phones I should look into.?

I did that a long time ago..

I only used my home phone for the internet. I was paying around $25 for phone and $10 for internet service and there was my cell phone..

Then I cancelled my home phone and got cable for the internet service..and it was cheaper than the phone+internet plan.

So getting rid of home phone is really a good idea.

I am using T-mobile. So far I don't have any complains with T-mobile.

I wouldn't do a pre-paid plan for you cell with wanting to make it your only telephone. Verizon has some very resonable plans as well as sprint. My sister only has a cell, as does my brother. They have found it is much cheaper because long distance calls are free on the weekends. our family is spread out over the US. It makes sense to make your cell your main phone because why have 2 phone plans? Why pay 50 to a hundred bucks a month for a land line in the house and the same amount for a cell phone? One is enough.

I think it's a great idea as long as you have a plan as opposed to a prepaid phone. You need to make sure that you'll be able to use it whenever you need to no matter what the circumstances might be. I got rid of my land line a LONG time ago and it was the best thing I ever did. If it weren't for the internet (I'm wireless), I wouldn't see a need to have a regular line at all.

just keep in mind all the minutes of use and overcharges can get expanesive. no home phone so all you cell calls to the 800 numbres and on hold time will go against you minutes.
thinks this over seriousely

That's exactly what they want...more of your money. Do it the other way around: get rid of your cell and keep your land line.

Not a bad idea you have. But we're keeping the landline so we have something that works when the power goes out.
